The Skar Audio VD-8 D4 is an 8-inch, dual 4-ohm, shallow mount car subwoofer. This woofer was engineered to sound great and handle ample amounts of power all while maintaining a shallow foot print, which allows them to be very versatile in use. This driver utilizes a high temperature 2-inch voice coil, which in conjunction with its powerful, yet low profile single stack ferrite magnet, allow it to perform with dominance.

The VD series make for a great under seat subwoofer or for use in applications where mounting depth is limited. A competition grade pressed paper cone and high roll foam surround, allow the VD-8 to perform reliably for hours on end. Let your music come alive with the shallow mount, powerful VD series.

“Order and received it the next day. Order 2 pair of 6x8 and an 8 sub for my 2003 lincoln aviator to replace the factory system. Perfect fit on the doors. Plastic factory sub box had to be cut bigger with a razor knife so it fit the sub opening but no big deal. All in all the system sounds Amazing. However... My stock head unit wasn't powerful enough to push these speakers. So I bought a kenwood with full eq for sound quality. Installed it and it pushing 55 watts per channel. And turned up about 3/4 volume all the way up and these speakers are awesome. Still not enough power. Just bought a taramp 800x4. Comes in Thursday. Running each door. Can't wait to hear them after. Finally I will be able to hear these speakers sing and not have to have it on full blast to hear the quality. I tuned each speaker using classical and symphony music to get the sound I was searching for and then brought up the sub. The little 8" sub hits hard. I'm running it with a 2500 watt amp only turned up 1/4 way. I am pushing for clean crisp sound in my SUV. I want to feel like I'm at a real live concert and I can play anything with these speakers from rap to rock to country to classical to symphony, I mean really anything and these speakers and sub sound epic. The sound is amazing and it's so clear. I'll update once the door amp comes in and ofc door wiring is installed. Skar u guys are amazing and will have a customer for life. Keep up the great work and job. Definitely recommend”

“The gasket that seals subwoofer is a little bit thick and beefy for the sub and the cutout diameter to the screw mounting holes is literally millimeters thick could use to have more in that area”

“For such a small sub, these things bump HARD. Put 4 in my truck and its some of the cleanest bass I've heard! Very impressed, and will definitely recommend to friends!”
