“I own a 2024 Honda CR-V. My previous vehicle, 2012 Honda Odyssey had a decent factory stereo. I bought this Skar enclosure knowing that it was not rated to fit my vehicle even though the shape of the quarter panel was very close. I ordered the box on Thanksgiving and it arrived about a week later in a very secure box and the packaging was very well done. This box is secured with double side tape and metal tab that corresponds to a metal loop built into the frame. The fit was very close but the metal tab is slightly off. I ended up bending the leg and trimming some of the metal so the tab would line up with the metal loop. The tab does not go into a full engagement. I originally wanted an empty 10" enclosure but my order was canceled by Skar and I was refunded. I emailed Skar on Thanksgiving and asked why my order was canceled and was told that empty 10" enclosure was out of stock so I went with an empty 12" enclosure. In hindsight, I should have ordered a loaded 12" enclosure because the way this box is shaped, certain speakers will not fit property and there would be air leaks because the overall diameter was too big. I have a Kicker and a Rockford woofer that would now seat properly due to shape of the box near the 9 to 11 O clock position. My original intention for my needs was to use a 10" subwoofer I already had on hand to install into my car with the Skar enclosure. Going to a 12" sub was wishful thinking due to the small box volume. I think this Skar box is salvagable and would work better if they made the metal support tab adjustable for length and height. I would have been okay buying a loaded Skar 12 and made the modifications to the metal latch. I just did not need another 12 sub on top of what I have on hand. I will keep this box to use as a reference and build a fiberglass/wood box myself. My plan is to expand on the Skar box to build something that will fit my needs. This is not a knock on Skar because there are no makers at this time for my car. Dear Skar, if you make the enclosure with an eyelet loop only, you can make the box latch onto the factory Honda eyelet by making a U shaped connector (visualize an Allen wrench that is U shaped or make some injection molded plastic with a few various lengths so the installer/end user gets the desired fit. Since the Honda loop is large, place a rubber grommet into the factory loop to reduce the hole so the fit is snug.”

“Purchased this enclosure along with a monoblock amp, VD series Subwoofer and amp install kit from Skar. All items arrived as ordered, had it installed by my local audio shop, could not be more happier with the sound and look of this in my vehicle.”
