Skar Audio engineered this custom, vehicle specific, single 12-inch, ported subwoofer enclosure specifically to fit under the rear cab seat of 2014-2018 Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Sierra Crew Cab trucks. Unmatched by anything else on the market today, this subwoofer enclosure was designed from the ground up by our master craftsman to ensure it is a perfect fit in the vehicle.

The ported, down-firing design of this enclosure allows for deep and thunderous bass output, all while preserving the limited cargo space most audiophiles are reluctant to give up. The quality of the box is evident from the minute you open the packaging, as the enclosure is constructed out of only the finest materials, including premium-grade MDF, ensuring it will last for years to come.

Additionally, we line the subwoofer chamber walls with poly-fill to enhance the overall depth of sound that this enclosure reproduces. From there, we include a premium speaker terminal wiring cup which is pre-wired internally to 12-gauge (OFC) speaker wire leads. Finally, the enclosure is finished in a high performance black trunk-linker carpeting that allows it to look just as good as it sounds.

Recently got the single vd 12, ported box, with a skar 800.1 mono and it’s Ran off a kicker LOC hooked into the right rear door….i have been out of the audio world for so long I had never even installed one of those before… But honestly don’t feel like it’s needed, Might get a cheaper dsp, but that’s gonna be down the road a ways… I’d rather get all the base I want first, and then upgrade the rest of the system as I. b Gonna upgrade the rear speakers, but that’s just cause one is blown… This sun hit good, and it has clean sound for the most part… there is a couple songs, with a high-frequency, that sounds Like the sub is almost rattling…. But I think it’s actually the box, that’s probably the only thing I would suggest, is beef up the box a little bit. I think I’m gonna add my own bracing inside to make it alittlw more solid… Honestly I wasn’t expecting a bunch for This set up cause the price was really good… and haven’t really seen the type of output I like from a prefab box before but happy to say it doesnt feel or sound like a cheap product…. It sounds good and gets loud… But I will say, I’m 37, but was a big bass head In my younger days, no comps but had systems in all my in my teens and 20s. So I’ve kinda been in heaven since I came back to the mobile Audio scene with you tube and videos and help… I’ve learned alot just from researching this past month…. Lots of it would be considered basik info, Anc mic interference, LOC and DSP, finding input reducers, (love those) Even just the wire game, and battery banks, the big 3, actually paying attention to what ohms I’m running and if I’m ok to run it…. have a load monitor hooked up to the sub load and constant monitoring Amps and watts ohms state of charge…MAH it’s a cool little monitor, 16 bucks on Amazon… and it’s allways running while the music is,so you constantly know what your system is dojng. But I will say I’m left with a little itch to scratch becuse I want more power and want another sub back there… So I’m going to add another amp and sub that I Can take out if needed qhen I need the room…..and it’s gonna take up the single seat in the passenger rear and sitting right on top of this box… Right now my plan is to put the current sub and amp I have in here, older JL audio w6v2 and a JL 600/1 But honestly I’d really like to try skars higher end subs out… and I’m gonna build and amp rack for the back wall, and part of me does want to have it be all matching skar stuff… Been looking for a good deal on a good sub, I’m really looking at the EVL 12… But I gotta say I don’t think I’m gonna go commit to it unless I can get a good deal on it… Honestly that’s the only reason I’m writing this review… if a company cares enough to keep me happy with the best products and lowest prices it would be hard for me to ever want to get something else… I’d like to be a part of the skar team and rep I’d like to put an evl 12 and 2000 or 1500 next to this set up I already have, and be able to take it out as I need the room and still have some bass when that happens So this is me trying to get you guys to hook me up with a good price so I I don’t want to say what deals and from who I can get, but I can get a 1500wrms sub and a 2000.1 amp (different companies) for 129 for the sub and 116 for the amp…. But like I’ve said I would rather not go with their stuff, I want to run more of your guys gear….. I’ve watched reviews and videos on the products and they are legit…. But I just like the idea of. Being brand specific and have all matching gear…. So please… hook up this broke dad!! So yeah, if my kid wanted to get some bass?? Or girlfriend or whoever that just wants some nice bass but isn’t in to shaking houses, this is a great setup with really clean bass for the most part But this product gets a solid 8/10 for me.
