Read Skar Audio, Inc. Reviews

The Skar Audio VXF series was engineered to deliver the perfect combination of SQ/SPL found in a competition grade car subwoofer of its power class. The VXF-12 D4 is conservatively rated at 3,000 watts peak power, and 1,500 watts RMS, and is unrivaled when it comes to power handling and overall performance. Designed around achieving a super low "Fs" parameter, the VXF series delivers low end response with absolute authority, all while being versatile enough to sound great across a wide range of music.

The VXF-12 utilizes a high temperature 3-inch copper voice coil, which combined with its massive 300 oz ferrite motor, allows this subwoofer to deliver head turning bass at the highest SPL levels. Furthermore, we integrated a stitched, high roll foam surround, with a competition grade paper cone, ensuring that this subwoofer is setting a new precedent in terms of sound quality and strength. Whether you are looking to be the loudest vehicle at a car show, or just wanting to enjoy the bass in your daily driver at unprecedented sound levels, the VXF series is the perfect choice.

After plenty of time researching I decided to purchase a vxf12 dual 4ohm to upgrade my nvx vcw 12...well there is no comparison as far as size this thing is huge..instantly fell in love with the looks and its really stiff as well. I have this paired with a rockville db15 but im afraid my box is too small so I'll be upgrading it as well. I do belive it's too small for the sub..im running a single Belva ported box atm. I broke it in over a 3 day period and finally got to crank it up and omg, this thing barely moves but is so much deeper and louder then my old setup.

I bought 2 12's both D4 so I could run 1ohm on my amp that is rated 2975W at 1ohm. I was hard not to go full tilt day 1 so I could break them in a little. I am impressed!!! I was in competition car audio and a certified judge years ago. I have already had many bail outs! I have a 2010 HHR SS box facing towards the rear.

I like it. My Powered Rockford T5 could push this sub, was surprised. It hits harder when I switched amp to the sound digital 3000.1 I need to do the big 3 or 4 or just upgrade the alternator because the clipping light goes off. Or go back to the Rockford again because it sounded good. Oh and the T5 was at half gain too. Happy customer
