“I was so impressed with the 2 in 1 shampoo, for my little dog, I couldn't resist trying the spray on our 8 year old, 60 lb, hound dog mix. My oldest son rescued Cleetus from a dumpster at a convenience store almost 8 years ago. My son took a job out of state and I have had him for 7 years. Cleetus was very abused and had a lot of behavior problems, and has always been very itchy and licks himself a lot. Now that he is an older dog, our vet has us giving him a daily Omega 3 to help with this, and to help with early arthritis issues from all the abuse he endured as a puppy, from before we got him. This helped a little bit, but the vet said that when he gets his annual check up and shots, that we may have to start blood work and pursue other things to see what is going on with him... possibly kidney trouble. I don't have the money for that. He has been taking his Omega 3, but in the last 2 months the itching has gotten so much worse! He was scratching non stop and chewing his skin! He wakes up with it, will just stop walking and drop down to scratch, moans in misery, and started giving himself lesions and scabs. He's such a good dog, it's been breaking my heart, and I was scared. I had the 2 in 1 shampoo for another dog, but it didn't work as well on Cleetus, so as a last ditch effort before going to the vet, I bought this spray. We soaked the fur, concentrating on his back and hind-end because he doesn't like being wet or sprayed and it was a big struggle. He ran and hid in the other room for a while, but he wasn't scratching! For the rest of the day, the only place he scratched was his chest and front legs, where we didn't spray! And he slept! All this had him so exhausted, he slept and slept. The next day the scratching started again, but he was more agreeable with it, it wasn't too bad, and he didn't scratch at all, all day. The 3rd day we sprayed all over again, no scratching. Because he is a large dog he uses a good amount of spray, so we skipped it on day 4. Day 5 he was itchy on his hind-end so we treated that area and it stopped. He also seems to understand what we are doing, and stands still and lets us do it! Day 6 he needed another all over spraying, and was fine for the last couple of days. This is a miracle! I can't wait to tell my vet when he goes in for his shots next month! Also, if this were scented in any way, Cleetus would NOT have let us get any on him! The unscented is exactly that, no smell to it at all! We love this stuff!!!”
