The Kahlúa story begins in Mexico in 1936 as a group of friends combines their knowledge of alcohol and delicious Arabica coffee to make a beautiful liqueur. 'Kahlúa' is said to be Arabic slang for 'coffee', which is where the brand gets its unique name. The 1955 invention of the White Russian led to a boom in the brand's popularity, and love for Kahlúa has been spreading across the world ever since. The liqueur has an attractive deep brown colour, which accompanies rich flavours of bittersweet coffee, roasted chestnut and butter. Enjoy alone or mixed into a delicious coffee cocktail - White Russian, Black Russian, Espresso Martini, and many more!
