“This product was recalled by the manufacturer in 2023 due to a serious safety issue with the chin strap coming open. The British Government's Office for Safety and Standards issued a product recall for this helmet. My contacting Giro directly with regards my purchase of the specific recalled product received a flippant and inaccurate response. Showing Giro does not take safety seriously. I will not wear the helmet as I cannot be sure I will not be seriously injured whilst wearing it. Trading Standards have been informed of this issue. It is 2025 and the helmet I received was made in 2022 and has all the serial numbers indicating it is a helmet that should have been recalled. Is this helmet safe to be sold?”
