“My wife and I really love it and it makes putting on compression socks so much easier especially when dealing with 77 year old with hand issues in both hands. It took a couple of uses to get the hang of it. Not using to remove socks because it is much easier for my wife just to peal them off. Plan on taking it on trip later in year just have to figure out how to pack because wth significant hand issues I can not take two major pieces apart”
Dear Robert,
Thank you for your review!
In any case, if you want to take the Steve with you on vacation, we recommend that you do not take the 2 tube parts apart, but slide them together. This is easier, but also safer. If the tube parts are taken apart completely, there is a risk of pressure pallets falling out of the tube.
To remove the EasyON from the Base, it is important to place the Steve Complete on the table in front of you, so that you can press with one hand and hold the donning aid in place with the other. If you do this, for example, when you have the Steve Complete in your lap, it is more difficult to apply force. You then push one of the pushbuttons down and out and will find that it releases. At first, this may be a bit stiff. If you have hand/finger problems, you can do this with a pen, for example. That way you can push just a little easier.
We can always help you with tips and tricks, so feel free to send an email to hello@stockingaid.com and we are happy to help you! :)
Kind regards,
Steve Originals
