“Mine arrived as a rock hard brick. Had to take a hammer to it to break it into useable pieces. You say it is in wafers for easy measuring so I was very disappointed. But, once I got it melted down with some coconut oil it made some awesome fat bombs. Note from Sunfood: Darla, we're sorry about this, but during the hot Summer months, melting can happen. We're happy that you were able to melt it again and use it successfully!”

“Sunfood is my dream store. I can't say anything about any of the foods which does not contain superlatives and exclamation points. However, when speaking of Sunfood raw cacao paste and cacao butter ( ingredients I use to make chocolate confections without sugar) all I can say is oh my gosh, Thank you, thank you, thank you ! These ingredients are so delectable that you do not need a recipe to create masterpieces with them. Just start playing. Throw the paste and the cacao butter in to melt, add... anything, chunks of coconut, cherries, pecans, fresh ginger, vanilla etc. etc. etc. a drop of cognac( or not) pour into molds or onto paper, pop in the freezer a moment and wow. Here is your alternative to delicious , expensive, not so healthy store bought chocolate bars... you know which ones I mean. A total triumph of Sunfood super foods. I am so grateful to them.”

“This cacao paste is outstanding for making homemade chocolate or bark. Heck, I can eat it as is! But I love my chocolate DARK. A little goes a long way with this paste. Melt it down and drizzle it on nuts and dried fruit - it's gold!”

“Very rich chocolaty taste sans sweetness. I noticed I've become more sensitive to sugar and like less of it in things I eat so this tastes great to me, always have a few pieces in my bag.”

“After eating cacao nibs and whole beans raw out of the bag, it was a bit bitter. This cacao paste is smooth, creamy and delicious. I eat it right out of the pouch and love it. Keep it in a cool place, it will melt. I've taken melted paste and placed it in the fridge for a few minutes and it firms up fine. GREAT PRODUCT.”

“One of the other reviewers mentioned that they eat this cacao paste as is--which I hadn't even thought of doing. I bought it to make raw chocolates, because it really enhances the chocolate flavor when combined with cacao nibs. But I thought why not? I'll just eat a piece of paste and see how it goes. I was expecting it to be dry and bitter--it isn't! It has an intense chocolate flavor and it's exceedingly smooth. Please note, I don't eat sugar, so my ability to pick up on natural sweetness or eat foods plain that normally require sweeteners is perhaps a little more honed. But even so, I would recommend trying this paste as is, it's fantastic. And I think for me it will be a new go to snack food. I definitely recommend buying this!”

“This product is very convenient when you have to use cacao powder and butter in a recipe. It's much easier to melt the paste and it makes a great homemade, healthy raw chocolate if add some raw honey and maybe a bit of coconut oil to smooth it out.”
