“Brazil nuts (organic and all) are like Russian Roulette for me. So often they taste like chemicals and or extremely moldy and even stale. Sunfood has always been the best and by far the freshest tasting and I’m not afraid to reach into the bag just to eat a freakin Brazil nut, which is nice. I trust their testing and quality standards above most else and I appreciate that they continue to have real customer service where you can actually speak to someone. Their customer service is amazing. But back to Brazil nuts, if you ever get some that taste off, it may not be a bad batch but how it was stored and handled e.g I got a bag that arrived extremely hot from weather plus had a hole in the bag from shipping/handling presumably, and they had a bad texture and a rancid taste but I was easily able to replace them with a bag from the exact same batch, same lot code and best by date, with no damage to the bag and not having had sat in extreme heat and they are amazing!! So fresh, great texture, no rancidity. The customer service rep did explain nuts like this, given their high fat content, can be sensitive to factors like high temperatures which leads me back to how great customer service is, they aren’t just people paid to work the phones, they’re actually involved and have a good understanding of the product and company. In fact, they were the ONLY company who knew what I was talking about when I talked about hit-or-mis Brazil quality via various companies and the only ones who had any insight or explanation. Sunfood continues to have the best Brazil nuts, actual raw (unroasted) cacao, etc. My only complaint is they need to bring back their organic hand-shelled (truly raw) cashews. Hand shelled cashews are irreplaceable in recipes. Please never change, too many companies are becoming robotic and essentially getting rid of customer service. I love that the employees understand how things work here, it speaks to me that this company continues to care about the products they offer and really take what they do seriously and thus take us, the customers, seriously. Pay attention people, notice how that is often not the case and choose companies like Sunfood who are the exception to the new and growing rule. I have high standards, we all should, and Sunfood does too, and that is awesome and sadly, exceptional.”

“So, I’ve never had Brazil nuts and since I’ve been exploring nuts as a healthy snack option and I loved my other sunfood purchase, I decided to try this one out because it ranked as one of the healthiest nuts. It’s fresh and so crunchy () but easy to bite! It isn’t salted or mixed with any other flavors which I love — just straight from the earth! I had 7 pcs which was a serving and helped me hit my protein goal for the first half of the day! There’s more from sunfood that I’m yet to try but so far, it’s a welcome addition to my diet and I will definitely be restocking the Brazil nuts!”

“I started purchasing these after a dietician recommended them. I used to purchase Brazil Nuts from the market, but quite often the Brazil nuts would have a moldy taste to them and I would throw them out. Ever since we began eating Sunfood Brazil Nuts we have not had this happen. Great Quality!”
