“Die Reise im Zug und auf dem Schiff waren sehr schön.
Allerdings wurde ich von Swiss Activities nicht informiert, dass ich auf dem Schiff auch Plätze reservieren konnte.
So hatten wir im Restaurantbereich der 1.Klasse keine Plätze mehr erhalten auf dem Oberdeck, obwohl wir für die erste Klasse bezahlt hatten. Das fand ich ärgerlich.”
“We had a fabulous day with Gotthard Panorama Express, traveling from Lucerne to Lugano. We were greeted at the dock and relieved of our luggage which was checked through to Lugano - so they transferred it from boat to train for us. Such a beautiful boat ride on the top deck (Be sure to buy a first class ticket - you don’t want to ride below. One end is covered with a sunscreen if you don’t want the exposure.) We did not make a reservation for lunch, but did enjoy a spritz and a beer on the ride. It’s a quick easy transfer from boat to the train, where we were greeted by our train host. We weren’t expecting a host, but what a nice addition. She kept us informed of what we were seeing and historical details as the journey progressed. She even went passenger to passenger and helped them with exactly how to get to their hotel or next point of departure as we neared the train station. Once in Lugano, we were immediately handed our luggage and were on our way. Really delightful start to finish!”
“Pleasant, efficient staff made the trip very easy, and with good service. The train cars were great, with comfortable, roomy seats, and with great views through the clean Windows.
