“After buying 2 sets of chains for my John Deere E130 from the John Deere dealer that were too short to fit around the 20X10X8 tire I found these that stated they would also fit a 22X10X8 tire. They arrived in 2 days and they fit perfectly. I rated them a 4 stars. The only thing that kept me from giving a 5 star rating was the tensioner/fastener that you use to hook them together. The one that comes with these is a short piece of material (steel??) that was too short to decently grab by hand and pull through the chain link so I grabbed it with a vice grip pliers and pulled it through the link and attempted to hook it into the side link of the chain. All I accomplished is bending the too soft tensioner/fastener. I ended up taking the one off of one of the John Deere sets and replacing the cheap one on these chains with that one. It worked out very well and I soon had the chains on the tires. Again, great chains, poor fasteners or a 5 star review.”
Les, Thanks for your review! We appreciate your feedback. Since you liked our chains so much, you do have the option of giving them 5 stars and then reviewing the tensioners separately. With that said, do keep in mind that the point of the tensioners is to create that pull. Without that, they would not serve their purpose. However, we will certainly look into ways we can help make the install easier. Thanks again!
