Bed delivered punctually and service exactly as described by couriers... because of covid they are gonna leave it on doorstep! The heaviest box is almost 40kg, It comes in 5 huge boxes all numbered. It is carefully packed. You will have enough recycling to fill your wheelie bin 5x over. Be aware you are gonna need to be reasonably fit to move and assesemble this. Every piece has a number, every bag of fixings a letter which correspond with the instructions. The instructions are thorough and sensibly enough they are in box 1. The instructions are not for the faint hearted or those without a degree in engineering or a suitably experienced DIY'r. My husband has both of these, it took nearly 10hrs of work to build on his own. But they are correct if you can follow them. The instructions say it will take 3hrs to build. The bed is built in 2 halfs that you then 'shove' together whilst trying to allign dowels and screw holes...would be very difficult on a carpeted floor as both halves weigh in at about 75kg. The bed slats are very firm I would imagine could take a good size adult. Be aware of height. Our child is a small 12yr old but once sitting on bed she only has about 3inches head clearance. Obviously bed is made of contiboard but it appears to be well finished. and mostly well designed. The steps are steep and could do with an extra set of grips lower down. the gap to get into bed at top is narrow. It does not wobble or squeak ..yet! Child loves it
