Bought two of these for my 12 and 9 year old boys. Having owned similar style beds from a well-known Scandinavian outlet, which cost about the same as these, I wonder what I was paying for previously. The build quality is incomparable! These are solid wood frames, which come with top quality hardware and easy to follow assembly instructions (a cordless screwdriver is very helpful). I have no doubt these beds are built to last, will probably offer more practicality than their Swedish equivalents, given the option of lifting the under-bed and, if ever dismantled/moved, will certainly go back together more robustly/successfully. I can’t/won’t comment on comfort, because that’s what a mattress is for. These are ideal for sleep-overs or for rarely used guest bedrooms where floor-space is usually required. Do consider the maximum thickness of the under-mattress if you’re going to buy a matching pair (top & bottom). Consider an easy to store double-sized topper mattress if the bed will be more commonly used as a double.

Bought as a bed for one child, with the possibility to use as a guest bed when visitors come. The main bed is solid and simple to put together. We haven't used it as a double yet, but hope it will be solid enough to support guests! It looks great, nice wood and looks modern. I like the way the single bed underneath slides away neatly.

The bed arrived fairly quickly and was easy to assemble. However as soon at it was sat upon one of the longitudinal side members broke. The side members are not made from a single piece of timber but from smaller pieces which are supposed to be glued together. Clearly not enough glue was used. New side members were supplied and on stripping the bed down one of the cross member slats was delaminating also and had to be replaced. Makes me wonder what will happen next!
