“When I first started using Xonvea I was skeptical, I still had a lot to nausea and was vomiting maybe once a day, I started using it from 7 weeks after a horrific previous pregnancy with HG.
At around 12 weeks I ran out of Xonvea or rather the alternative name I found whilst I was on holiday and honestly what happened a day or two after having not taken anything was so triggering, the HG was there and the non stop vomiting came back despite thinking I never had it this time around, clearly I did but Xonvea actually worked. I was hospitalised and everything the hospital offered was only a temporary relief as it was through IV and not orally.
I told my doctor I used Xonvea and only when I stopped the vomiting started.
I am not almost 15 weeks and I take it everyday. I have purchased it twice online, once in Portugal and the maternity triage at my A&E also prescribed it.
Please please try this if every other medication your doctors have suggested is as useless as they were for me. Nothing is more horrendous than HG.
I still have nausea but I am managing more and more everyday.”
“As a previous hyperemesis suffer who found absolutely nothing to work, I started to research all about Xoneva, never heard of it which is strange considering it is the ONLY licensed pregnancy drug for sickness.
Anyways, I have taken it for two days so far, unlike my previous pregnancy I have not had hyperemisis so I am mostly struggling with nausea (absolute nightmare)
The pills are very light, some pills are so strong and you can instantly taste the medicine but these are fab in that they are small and light.
I can’t say it’s stopped the nausea so I can’t vouch for this medicine BUT I would 100% recommend that every person who has tried everything else please try this, I know it’s expensive but it may make a difference to you.
I bought it going off the positive research I came across in numerous studies and the reviews on here.
Why our doctors don’t tell us about this is beyond me, the cost of prescribing it I would imagine.
Will continue to try take two before bed in hope that I carry on not being sick, maybe the nausea won’t go away but I guess that’s the compromise I have to make.”
