“I wait patiently each year to place an order for elephant garlic. It arrives in brown paper packaging suitable for storing the bulbs which have been caringly dried before sending out. These sizeable cloves are sweet and distinctive in their taste, are juicy when crushed, slice easily, and roast well chunked into a vege tray bake. I usually store a small number of cloves in vodka, some in oil and some in vinegar -- so I have them on hand all year as a special treat.”
