“Excellent product and customer service
After having a bad experience with another AU company that had ignored my emails and held my payment for a month before advising they were 'Out of Stock', I visited the Updown Desk website and used their live chat to speak with Anthony who triple-checked that they had stock of the desk I wanted.
I was a little hesitant due to my previous bad experience with another company, but Anthony was very reassuring, responsive and patient with all my questions - assuring that my item would be shipped first thing in the morning.
Within a couple of business days, my desk arrived on my doorstep (Melb > Syd). Unfortunately my desktop had sufferred damage during transit (by absolutely no fault of Updown Desk), but Matt responded straight away very apologetically and provided a list of options to rectify the issue. They shipped the replacement desktop the following morning with a different courier.
Both Anthony and Matt were just lovely to deal with from start to finish, as well as being incredibly responsive which is reassuring when making a big ticket purchase completely online.
I opted for the 1800x750 Solid Bamboo desktop with grey legs, a cable tray and an anti-fatigue mat.
The Bamboo desktop is visually beautiful, with a velvety smooth finish that does not show fingerprints or smudges.
The legs are solid/heavy with a smooth/quiet transition from sit to stand and vice versa. Even at the maximum height setting, the desk remains stable.
The desk also came with adhesive cable ties - with these and the Cable Tray, I have managed to hide 99% of my cabling out of view.
I've been using my desk for a couple of weeks now while working from home during the COVID pandemic, changing positions between sitting and standing about 4 times each day. I have experienced no issues or motor performance degradation whatsoever.
Every item I've received from Updown Desk is of premium quality and I can't fault my experience with this company at all. I will definitely use them again!
