“Firstly my review is of the product only. The goods arrived promptly and well packaged.
I purchased this as I didn't want the hassle/ waste of co2 bottles. My aquarium has 90 Litres of water.
The equipment is well made and easy to set up, however the supplied co2 ingredients found in the box failed to produce any co2 at all.
Thankfully I'd purchased a refill pack as well.
This did and has been producing co2 now for a couple of weeks. However I have yet to get anything more than a bubble every 31/2 seconds, I know it's a yeast based reaction but it's frankly disappointing. I guess it reduces the risks of over doing the co2, but it's not boosting the plant growth in the way I had hoped . I think the suggested tank volumes are ambitious to say the least, I guess if it were used on an aquarium of 30-60 litres it might be ok.
Ive had multiple Fluval products over the years, but this has been the most underwhelming by far. I strongly suspect I will be in the market for a better performing system in the near future.”
