“Vont RGB Touch Lamp:
I purchased this lamp on Amazon and it shipped in the product box which was sturdy enough to hold up without any damage to the lamp. This reduced my box collection by one and that is a good thing. I am writing this review based upon an offer from the Vont insiders VIP release request. Upon opening the product/shipping box I found a card thanking me for my purchase and instruction on how to activate a lifetime warranty. The flip side of the card provided me with a QR code to scan to receive the manual (another way to save paper), unfortunately my card was for the Vont LED lanterns and not the Touch Lamp. I had to go the Vont website and hunt for the correct manual.
The light is made of a white plastic opaque cover and an aluminum like base. The operation of the lamp is as expected from the name, done by TOUCHING the base. The first taps bring up the white light in three levels of brightness. One can get to the RGB light by touching a bit longer on the base and the light at whatever level you are at will start changing colors slowly thru the spectrum if you want to have the lamp stay at a single color you must touch and hold a few seconds when the color you like comes around. This took me a few try’s to get it to work. The power transformer and cable are easy to use, and the cable was long enough for me to place the lamp in a good location. The lamp is analogue and only responds to touch and will always start from the basic white light.
I would probably not have ordered this without the incentive from the Insider VIP. I will most likely not use this lamp on a regular basis however there is nothing bad about the product. It might be nice to use to add a bit of focus to an area of the house.
If you need a simple adjustable brightness lamp that can also change colors this would be a good choice. All of the Vont products I have purchased have been excellent value and operation and I do not see any flaws in this one. Thanks you Vont for the opportunity to evaluate this lamp.”
“Best 20 bucks I ever spent! I can't believe how much quality was included in this lamp for such an affordable price. It's one of the brightest lamps I've ever purchased and can be left on for hours, even while my kids sleep. I had to look up the Q&A section on Amazon to figure out how to use it but once I got the hang of it, everything was smooth and easy. My kids and I love the colors and we are now huge fans of Vont products!”
“I use this light daily now. It's amazing as an ambient bedroom and gym lighting. It's got three different brightness settings: low, medium, and high. The highest setting is enough to light up my entire room! The lamp also has an amazing RGB mode with millions of different possible colors. It has a touch sensor, too, which is another nice feature. A light tap anywhere on the bottom is all you need to run through the different colors and pick your choice. I usually pick blue for a cool ambience. Tapping and holding for a couple of seconds turns the lamp on.
Perfect bedside lighting and would absolutely recommend it to my friends and anyone else. I think it would be perfect as a gift, too.”
“I like that this light is lightweight and energy efficient. It is a very simple design and fits with my décor. I use it in my kitchen as a nightlight and before I go to bed and when I first get up in the morning rather that turning on all of the power consuming lights overhead in my kitchen. I like that it has three different settings-low ,medium and high-for various applications and intensity needs. I turn it down to low as a nightlight and to high when I am preparing my coffee. I can adjust the color to my desire. It was reasonably priced and I can definitely attest to Vont's customer service . Their customer service is excellent and the company is quick to respond to questions. This product is backed by their lifetime warranty and so I have no concerns regarding the lifespan of this light.”
“I'm actually flabbergasted at how well this product works it's also incredibly cheap! The kids love putting theirs up on the nightstand, and they often use it for the bright white light it provides. By long-touching the base of the lamp, you can slowly change the colors or you can even pick your favorite. Because of these features, this is one of the most intuitive lamps I have even bought on Amazon, and I buy A LOT. I also want to highlight the fact that the white light settings come with three different levels of brightness.”
“I admit, I was a little lost with the lamp's instructions. After a quick dive into the Q&A section, though, I couldn't actually believe how I ever had a hard time. It's honestly a breeze! Just tap the bottom of the lamp to turn it on. You know it's responding if you see the V light up green.
Touch and hold for two seconds until it lights up red. Hold for around 10 more seconds and then it starts cycling through all the possible colors. Wait for your favorite or whatever color you fancy and then tap the bottom again. That will stop the cycle and you get your desired color!
The colors are absolutely vibrant and I just love it. And there are sooooo many colors and shades to pick from! And the illumination is something else. It's still reasonably bright even at its lowest brightness setting.
All in all an amazing lamp! Would make a great gift, too. I know I would be happy to get one of these as a present.
