Tron LED Headlamp Reviews

Oops! The armored door of a Humvee (Frag 5 humvee with 300-pound doors!) smashed my headlamp during a training exercise. It fell apart and the batteries flew out. A large gouge was left on the front plastic part. I was sure the headlamp was done for until I picked up the two pieces and put them back together. The battery fit in back well and the lamp worked just fine as before the accident. This is a very durable lamp and good value for the money. The best headlamp I have ever had.

Excellent LED light. I have been putting this headlamp to use in the evenings while planting my garden. This is after the sun has gone down. The heat of the day is too much for my liking and this lamp allows me to work at my ease. The lamp is nice for its price and also comfy. It has enough room around it so it does not cut off circulation to the brain. This is a great deal; the best I could find for the price and I am very happy with it.

This light works perfectly. I bought it for camping. It comes with four options in light color; bright, dim, red and blinking red. I would have been more impressed if it was a bit dimmer in the white dim light setting. In complete darkness, the dim can still blind some people. The solid red light does not allow you to see much; it is not quite useful for me. Overall, this one does the job and is sufficiently bright.

Mine is a headlamp family with many people reading in bed, up at odd hours and with outdoor chores in dark hours. We work under cars and in attics etc. each member of the family has many uses for headlamps. We have tried most of the headlamps under the $30 range but none in the $50 plus range. We like this one the most so far. Getting batteries in and out is easy. This one appears to have a rechargeable battery. Some LED lights spoil with rechargeable batts but his product seems to work fine all the time. It has already had a few falls without breaking.

The lamp works very well and stays in place even on a rough hike. Toggling through the four (bright, dim, red, flashing red) light settings and then getting to Off was a tad odd for me, but it worked. I was not in a lot of rain, but the unit got quite wet and still worked. The strap is adjustable and very nice. The quality of plastic used on the light is not too good, it reflects on the price. At least the headlamp gets the job done.

Decent brightness, spot profile and throw. There is a noticeable difference between high and low outputs but not appreciable. The output in red light is minimal. Overall build quality and the strap appear to be great. I am not a fan of clicking through all the four modes to turn the light off. I wish it would follow the more conventional method of pressing and holding to switch the light on and off.
