Let's start off with saying we did enjoy our stay. We've have rented a lot of cabins in Gatlinburg in the 20 years we've been visiting so we know what to expect. We do not expect perfection on any level. However, this property was classified as a Silver property. We rented a Bronze property last year that was in better condition than this place. This Silver property was below the classification system used by the rental company. We were happy to pay more for a "higher quality" cabin but when the quality of the cabin is less for the extra money spent, it's disappointing. The new deck was nice however, we had to watch out for splinters and screws leftover from construction. The grill was the worst grill that we have ever been provided. Yes it was new, but it's functionality leaves a lot to be desired. The front door handle looked like it was going to fall off or someone had broken in. The door had a splintered look like someone HAD broken in before. The 1 bed downstairs was unusable because the frame was not put together well at all. The footboard wobbled with minimal effort just by touching it with your fingers, so we didn't sleep there. And the upstairs bed needs to be thrown out. Period. The Marianna Trench in the middle of that thing was absolutely horrible. The lighting in the kitchen was bad. You'd think someone would have noticed the bulbs were not working. Also, the screws in the metal joint of floor boards leading into the kitchen are a safety hazard! They were sticking up and bent and could very possibly cut someone's foot! The view from the upstairs shower was amazing but I don't know who in their right mind would use the tub with the broken and molded jets. It was great for a shower but you'd have to be a pretty gross person to sit and use that tub. The tools given for the fireplace need to be replaced. Those were the negatives. The positives are....The couches were somewhat comfortable and the view was beautiful. The grounds were nice with a good amount of walking space. The picnic table was a great place where we ate many lunches and enjoyed the view and the sunset with a glass of wine. We also enjoyed the sunrise with our coffee. All in all, this place needs some maintenance if you want to continue rating it a "Silver" property.

Good location - excellent parking (big perk) - amazing views - a lot of windows - fairly private from surrounding properties. The drive up to the cabin is a little rough, but not terrible - we sort of wished the master bedroom upstairs had a king size bed. Overall, a great place to stay, we highly recommend it.

This cabin is in desperate need of repairs and updates. The TV in the living room was broken with a line in it and would only get local stations since the cable box was too old. The TV in one of the rooms on the first level didn't have a cable box so it sis work. Bathrooms were out of date and faucets need to be replaced and the jet tub in the master did not work. The kitchen needs work. The oven drawer is broken on one side and there were no pot holders. Didn't use the dishwasher as it smelled. The deck is in bad shape however we were told it was getting repaired. The gazebo shown in the pictures is gone alone with the second picnic table. This cabin should not be rated as a silver and owners need to put some money into it if they want to get the same rental prices. We have rented much better cabin from Jackson Mountain Homes.
