“Renter beware!!! Although the unit itself was satisfactory, the treatment by the rental company/ condo owner was not. Approximately 6 weeks before we were to use the unit, They sent us an email stating that they had made a mistake in the advertised rental price and if we wanted to continue to rent, it would cost us $700 more or we could cancel our contract and get our rental deposit back. Upon calling the Distinctive Beach Properties Rental company to discuss this we were told “ they had no choice because the owner was insisting on the price change and there was nothing they could do” No financial compromise from owner or rental company. It took us months to find a property that would work for or family and our budget and our plane tickets were already purchased as well as other purchases made for this trip that could not be changed or refunded. I have absolutely nothing good to say about this owner/ rental company and plan to leave comments with the BBB, Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce as well as other companies where this property is listed for rental.”
