GENESIS SIZE GUIDE
The Genesis sandal fits true to size.*
Since the foot is three-dimensional, any two-dimensional measuring tool, such as a ruler or Brannock device®, can only approximate your true shoe size. Manufacturers model their shoes on different foot shapes, so sizing may vary accordingly.
*Please note our sizing recommendations are based on customer feedback and do not ensure a proper fit.

Points to consider for sizing:
The Genesis sandal is a unisex style. For example a men’s 7 is the same exact shoe as a women’s 8.
The sole of the Genesis is very thin and flexible. We recommend a snug fit for this style.

Have just purchased my second pair of these sandals. My first pair are not in good shape, as I've had to patch both left and right sandal with araldite glue numerous times to keep them going. They keep breaking where the strap goes through the sole near the toes. They have also broken on the rubber section at the side strap, necessitating more glue to repair. As to the 5000 mile warranty, I doubt mine will last that long. The sole is already pretty worn from my running and I've only had them for 3 years and I don't do what I'd call high mileage. So I won't run in my old sandals anymore, and hopefully get more mileage just walking in them. Hence I bought this second pair for running. I was not impressed the price increased by over 37% since my first pair I purchsed 3 years ago. I am happy with the barefoot feel of these sandals which is what I was after. It did take me quite a long time of trial and error doing many adjustments to get the sandals feeling ok when running, as they were slapping too much and the strap kept slipping off my heal. I ended up cutting away part of the strap and part of the sole around the toes as well as other adjustments. I didn't want to have to 'cut' the sandals in case I mucked it up, but I did in the end and it did make a big difference. Undoubtedly I'll have to modify/customise my new sandals but at least I have a template in my old sandals that I can refer to. The online videos going through the adjustments were ok, but were not as comprehensive as I would have liked. I enjoy trail running but I don't use these sandals for that kind of running as I find due to the 'barefoot' feel, they don't feel ok on rocky terrain, and being a sandal, plenty of sticks and small stones come onto the sole under my foot which is annoying. So I'm looking forward to my new pair, and really hoping they won't be as troublesome as the last pair, and that I won't need the glue repairs.

These are Sick ! Light weight and hold to my foot well so I can walk on mid foot or toes with no problem. Also if your here looking for minimal bare foot shoes to wear into venues just get em and try them out! There worth it. Ill be buying them again once they wear out until I find something Better. I've been looking for Years.

The laces on the old models were not elastic. This meant getting a snug fit was so difficult. They have slightly elastic laces now, making the fit absolutely easy to adjust and really snug and comfortable. They've also added a grippy forefoot texture on the sole to provide extra traction. These sandals are absolutely amazing. My foot measures 270mm and the size 10 Mens fits like a glove. To get the perfect fit, loosen the heel strap, slide your foot in, position your foot and now, adjust the laces, being very careful and not using force, you do this by grabbing the lace and pulling in a sideways direction from the hole. Don't pull upwards as you can damage the sandal. Adjust the side of lace that has a knot (left for the right shoe and right for the left shoe) so that the knot is sort of in the centre of your foot, after that's done, adjust the lace that goes to the toepost so that it's snuggly tight. Then finally, adjust the heel strap while the cup is in the right position on the heel. Now you're done and have the perfect fit.

My main reason for buying a pair of xero shoes was to have a light and easily packable shoe for an upcoming trip to SE Asia, however they have become my go to footwear at home too. I usually go barefoot wherever I can and these are great for situations where that would be innappropate. The sole is very grippy yet transmits feel and slight stretch in the strapping makes them very comfortable. They look just like normal sandals so don't get any wired looks which is a bonus!
