Super sorry to hear that you are having issues with the Laundry Liquid though. That doesn't sound right!
As part of our investigation process... It would be really helpful for us if you'd be able to answer these Qs:
What is the Batch number that is stamped on the top of the (coloured) lid of the refill pouch?
What Washing machine type (Top or Front loader etc.) do you have?
What water temperature does the cycle usually use?
Are you on hard or soft water?
Did you observe the smell on all items in your wash or only cottons, towels etc?
Was the wash left damp in the washing machine/basket for an extended period?
Anyhooo, apologies if that feels a smidge intrusive. We would just love to know what is happening here.
