“I'm afraid we will not be buying this again. After months of wondering why our clothes smelled dreadful in a brand new washing machine, and blaming the machine, the humans, cleaning the machine, using different temperatures, using different amounts, adding an anti bacterial...I finally changed back to a store bought powder and our clothes smell clean again. Not perfumed, just odour free. I'm not sure what happens chemically with this liquid but in a house of four sport playing adults/teenagers, it not only didn't clean but it added a wierd pong that wasn't even *our* familiar pong. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I have two full refills I'd be happy to return or sell.”

Oh no! Super sorry to hear that you are having issues with the Laundry Liquid. Yikes!
So far we have observed this as quite an isolated issue experienced by around 0.2% of our customers… Unfortunately it seems you fit into this unlucky minority!
Good news is we are in the process of solving the issue have some version 2 samples being tested in the world as we speak 👌🏼
As part of our investigation process... It would be really helpful for us if you'd be able to answer these Qs:
What is the Batch number that is stamped on the top of the (coloured) lid of the refill pouch?
What Washing machine type (Top or Front loader etc.) do you have?
What water temperature does the cycle usually use?
Are you on hard or soft water?
Did you observe the smell on all items in your wash or only cottons, towels etc?
Was the wash left damp in the washing machine/basket for an extended period?
Anyhooo, apologies if that feels a smidge intrusive Ha....

“A tough one. My conscience keeps me buying it, whereas I'd probably prefer to buy a standard laundry detergent full of un-environmental nasties but they do a good wash on whites. The Zero co is fine for coloureds, but not so great for keeping whites white. I either end up chucking in stain removers for the whites, and if it's sheets then washing at a higher temperature too. I've tried a number of environmental laundry liquids, and all tend to have this same issue. But, as I said, I suck it up and work my way around it.
I will also add, that I would rather not have it scented at all and you actually need less for a wash than directed, otherwise there are suds left after the final rinse and spin.”
