My experience at 99 Bikes Chichester was a mixed bag. I took my ebike in for a service and new mechanical parts were required. The entire bill was nearly £500 but I would rather invest in a bike I love than trade it in. When I got it back I could tell the new mechanics and service were excellent but sadly the electric motor cut out. The electrics were working perfectly when I took it in. I contacted the shop and they checked but said they could only do Bosch electrics not Yamaha. I insisted they look at it as it appeared to be something they had done and booked it in. On visiting the shop the staff member told me they wouldnt have touched the electrics and they didnt do Yamaha but luckily the staff member I had spoken to on the phone was present and that they had touched the electrics by changing the wheels. I collected it the next day but felt I was a problem customer. I may have imagined this and the good thing is it is working perfectly. So , in summary ,mechanics repair excellent but just feel staff need to be less defensive , perhaps a training issue.
