I think you would be better off to STAY AWAY FROM BARCLAYS!!! I had to start rebuilding my credit trustworthiness and score about nine years ago. A Barclays credit card was a good option and I appreciate that they approved me almost 6 years ago. The limit was $1,500. Over the years, the balance has been up to almost maximum at times, but usually less than $700 and recently very very low. My point is, that AFTER NO LATE PAYMENTS over a 71 MONTH period of time, BARCLAYS LOWERED MY CREDIT LIMIT! WTF?!?!??! It’s okay, I’m well established now and I DON’T NEED BARCLAYS anymore. I will pay off the $659 balance immediately and never do business with them again. It was a poor decision on Barclays part, for some people it could be a devastating blow to a credit profile. In my case, it’s a non-issue because I’ve worked hard to rebuild and now have more than plenty of available credit from more legitimate, mainstream higher quality creditors. I just feel bad for and want to warn other folks who could be negatively affected by getting involved with Barclays!!! BARCLAYS is a creditor to deal with ONLY IF YOU ARE DESPERATE, and need to USE THEM to rebuild your credit.
