Completely incompetent - I have 2 Barclay's airlines cards, when I make payments to one of them they post the payment to the wrong card. When I submit payment, I include the correct acct number on the check AND send their statement back with payment. I even cancelled one card and they still credited the payment to that card. Called customer service and it took 3 people to be able to correct this.
Making online payment in full on the open card then cancelling it.
