Closed deceased father's card and 3 months later a vendor processed a credit to the card. A check was mailed to my address, so Barclays was aware of the life event and changed the mailing address. However, Barclays made the check payable to my father. The check cannot be cashed or deposited. Customer service claimed twice they would reissue the check. Never happened. Another call, a manager declared they could only speak to the exector of the estate. Then said thy could not speak to me because the account went to probate. I called them and was told the account was closed and Barclays was reasigned the account. The check will expire soon. Worst service I've ever encountered. My father would be disappointed.
