This is essentially an advertising site for trade with no consumer in mind. We had tried to post a negative review for one of tradespeople we found via the service who had a rating of 9+. The tradesman being the liar that he was in all of our dealings with him obviously denied ever doing the job. Despite providing an absolute mountain of evidence about the tradesman and the job Checkatrade refused to post our review claiming that they could not match the person with the business when our evidence could not be any clearer - emails showing their Facebook page and logo, bank transfers, text messages, even a picture of the bank card with their bank details. This is purely a website for trade to advertise on since they make money on membership fees, not from the consumer. As a consumer I will never ever rely on this service again and I will make sure that no other friend or family member or their friends or family members does either. Absolutely appalling
