It's not the traders that need to be vetted, its the people sat at the desks at Checkatrade, amateur, unprofessional and utterly incompetent. Give them a call and wait for their repetitive emails and calls, they will even send you and invoice in a few hours and a direct debit mandate, before they have even completed the onboarding process, cash struck business springs to mind.
