I sent out my parcel more than 2 weeks ago, to Kenya, Waybill number 8718486173. It was a small free Christmas gift, like I have sent thousands of times with TNT or FedEx. However, more than 2 weeks later, the DHL Kenyan office has taken more than £100 from me, and one corrupt fellow called Ochieno continues to contact the recipient with more demands for money. Last week it was ‘customs fees’. This week it is ‘storage fees’ of more than £30 for a parcel of less than 200gms. I have never written reviews before, but I thought I should WARN any unsuspecting customers who may not know how DHL is complicit in Kenyan corruption. What is disgusting is that I have contacted DHL many times about this but nothing has happened yet. One Kathy Wileman from their UK office even promised to get back to me, but nothing still. I guess that is how this company makes money from its African branches: by delaying delivery of parcels so they can demand ransom from its victims. PLEASE AVOID DHL FOR ALL SERVICES TO AFRICA. DISGUSTED CUSTOMER.
