DHL delivery service that chooses where to deliver rather than where it should deliver it.
DHL failed to flag up that they do not deliver to P.O.BOXes; they took my original documents (irreplaceable). When they could not deliver to the actual address, they chose to deliver to a random address without calling to check with the sender if that was OK. They lost my documents. The person who supposedly signed the receipt for my documents at the random delivery address is fictional. All DHL has done is call or email a few days to say that they have no further info and offer a £100 "goodwill gesture",
(replacing my documents would cost over £1,000).
At no point have they managed to explain:
1) Why did they not call to inform the company that they could not deliver to the address and decided to conjure up an address to deliver to?
2) why a fictional person signed the receipt?
The most amusing part of DHL's attempt to pass the buck was that explanation that a UK employee of this Global company at some point had agreed to have all letters to this particular P.O.Box delivered to a random address. When I asked about the agreement, it turns out that the woman who struck this deal is now retired and her deals would have been in her emails that are no longer available.
Incompetent, dismissive and unhelpful... that's about sums DHL.
