NO CLEAR DETAILS INFORMATION BEFORE SENDING PARCEL
Dear DHL EXPRESS INDONESIA,
I am writing to inform you that I am the sender of the parcel with no. AWB 2118490651 on 10 March 2022 with the destination to Jakarta, Indonesia.
I paid the amount of £ 172.95 for box 6 ( 15 Kg ) by visa debit and directly paid at DHL Express EAST MIDLANDS AIRPORT (EMA), United Kingdom. On 13 March 2022, my parcel arrived at DHL SORT FACILITY Jakarta, Indonesia. I send my parcel to my mother as a gift / only for a personal individual, NOT FOR SALE as since covid pandemic we have not seen each other in real life.
From 14 March 2022 until counting today's date, 30 March 2022, my parcel is still on hold in Indonesia Custom, and as you know that you inform me that I need to pay for Handling Fee ( 2.5% from duty & tax ), Administration Fee, Rent Storage, Tax ( 10% from handling fee+document fee+warehouse ) and also complete documents.
By today's date, 30 March 2022, you want me to confirm to choose the option Return to Origin or Disposal. I already enclosed supporting documents I had, to RETURN TO THE ORIGIN OPTION. I prefer would like to give my parcel to a UK Charity Shops than DISPOSAL/DESTROY.
The Option for Return to Origin, you want me to have a Tax Card but I don't have a tax card. I explained to you that I AM NOT A BUSINESS ONLY A PERSONAL INDIVIDUALLY. I am only a housewife with 4 children and support financially by my husband.
As you know, The information you gave me at DHL Express EMA before I was sending a parcel to Indonesia only explains about providing The Receiver ( my mother ) ID CARD and I did.
You never give me more clear details information for me as the sender as a personal individual to provide a Tax Card. If I know about this, I DON’T SEND PARCEL TO INDONESIA & MAKE A PAYMENT.
Now, DHL EXPRESS INDONESIA informed me based on Indonesia Law No. 10/1995 about Customs, article 43 paragraph 2 and article 65 paragraph 1a and 2, If The Goods have been transferred to Indonesia Custom, DHL / PT Birotika Semesta CAN NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THE EXPENSES OR BE SUBJECT TO A CLAIM FOR PACKAGE.
