In Germany DHL offers to deliver your parcels to a so called "Packstation". But they often fail to do so. They could at least bring your parcel to the next post office outlet. Instead they just bring it to some post office outlet which is often a long way from the original destination. If you ask them to move the parcel to a destination close to the original one they will refuse.
