Despite the perfect timing, I did specifically ask to the DHL call centre if I could pay for an insurance as I was sending Italy-UK an antique XIX century French picture frame that has been in my family for 50 years. I have been told from them that that would have been only possible if I had the frame receipt, which I couldn't possible have.
So after double checking with them that the package was made according to their rules and put the picture frame in between two layers of plywood back and front, before and after having wrapped the object into two rolls of bubble wrap, glued two huge "fragile" notes on the parcel, and having personally told to the DHL delivery person to please be careful, the picture frame yes arrived in perfect time but quite damaged, with many cracks, some broken parts all around in need of restauration. I am so disappointed that I am not going to use this service again or not recommend it.
