Been a member of the RAC for years without actually needing their help. Then last year my partners car wouldn't start. The RAC came out and got it going, for it to breakdown while we were out and leaving us stranded.
Keeping my faith I renewed my membership thinking it was a 1 off error.
I had a puncture last week and I was left waiting 5 hours until 00:40 am. That was the time I gave up waiting. I left the car, I went home and got up early called an independent tyre fitter who fixed the problem within the hour. The RAC are useless.
AVOID.
