Do not join th RAC. Twenty five phone calls made over one hour ,each one saying "line busy ". The Web site showed ," car not taxed ,therefore membership invalid ". My car is exempt from road tax due to it's age but the Web site didn't allow for this.
I used a local recovery which arrived within the hour.
The RAC is not fit for purpose
