I had a smell in the cabin & an engine light came so I called RAC at 2.30pm. Thankfully I had just got home when I noticed this. I kept getting updates for call outs which increased by 2 hours every so often. By 8pm I was getting fed up so rang them & rearranged the call-out for the following day at their suggestion. I did explain that I had an early appointment the following day so the advisor stated the call-out would be after 11am. Whilst I was at my appointment guess what?! the RAC called! I was really annoyed. I rang to complain. I had a call from the resolutions team (right 😂) & the women was so rude she totally got the wrong end of the stick & kept talking over me. Again it was 4pm by this time no one had called & I was told I had been a priority for hours. I rang again later as I stopped getting any updates & spoke to another advisor who also talked over me. I ended up having the guy Mark call out at around 8.30pm & he was really helpful. Overall I can’t believe how INCOMPETENT this company is!! It was stressful as I’m totally reliant on my car & have a son with complex needs. It seems my experience is nowhere near as bad as the other customer reviews I’m reading on here! I will be cancelling my policy. Last year I broke down, lone female in a deserted car park they took 5 hours to arrive!! DISGUSTING SERVICE RAC YOUR NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE!!
