Ref driver Mechanic Jim 2726 gloucestershire. Hi there. I have just had a fantastic experience with an RAC driver / mechanic. I was broken down on my Honda Blackbird due to the battery not charging and dying on me. He kindly stopped just because I was in a dangerous position on a 3 lane junction. He went around the roundabout again and pulled up behind and protected me with his large van. He then assessed the situation and briefly charged my battery for 10 mins which was enough to get me home.he then kindly followed my route to Newent in Gloucestershire to make sure I got home safe. About 8 miles. The good deed he did gave me belief in the RAC but also belief in the fact there is some very good people out there that care about us motorist and potentially saved me from a bad accident.
