Awful, don't ever trust them, use anyone but the RAC.
I am a lone female who was left stranded by the RAC when I blew a tyre in a pothole.
They declared where I was too dangerous to attend and advised that I would need to call the police for them to assess the scene and then give the RAC clearance.
I couldn't get through to the police on 101 so was left with nowhere to turn.
I pulled in as far as I could on the road it happened, I wasn't on a blind bend and cars could easily see me parked and could get around me. I wasn't even on a busy road.
The weather was very cold, getting dusky and I was on my own.
I used to seek great comfort in having an RAC membership but they are clearly keen to persuade you to stay with them, take your money and then it's pot luck as to whether they come out to you when you need them.
They caused me undue stress in an already stressful situation.
Absolutely diabolical.
Thanks goodness for a local tyre company who came to my rescue without any issue at all and had me back on the road within 5 minutes of arriving.
Shame on you RAC!
