Absolutely unacceptable experience – ruined a special night
I spent $1,600 on two club-level tickets through StubHub to see the Lakers play the Magic—a gift for my son’s 14th birthday. The seller never released the tickets. I then spent 40 minutes on the phone with customer service, desperately trying to resolve the issue while missing the entire first quarter of the game.
Their solution? A pair of “comfortable” replacement seats, which, while technically closer to the court, were in the middle of the section—a location I would never choose. We were wedged in among strangers, with no aisle access or privacy, which completely defeated the purpose of paying premium prices for a curated experience.
To top it all off, they offered a $25 coupon as compensation. That’s not even 2% of what I paid. It was an insult—especially considering the time lost, the frustration endured, and most importantly, the fact that a milestone birthday gift for my son was thoroughly ruined.
StubHub showed zero regard for customer experience, and absolutely no meaningful accountability. I will never use them again, and I’d strongly urge anyone considering it to think twice.
