Buyer Beware: StubHub Failed to Deliver Our Tickets We are extremely disappointed with StubHub. Despite “purchasing” tickets in March for a June performance in NYC, StubHub failed to deliver. We spent thousands of dollars on travel and accommodations, only to be turned away at the theater because the tickets were never transferred. StubHub claims “all sales are final,” but that only applies to buyers—not sellers. The seller can cancel or simply decide not to send the tickets, and StubHub offers no protection for the buyer in that scenario. In reality, when you “buy” tickets on StubHub, you’re not actually purchasing them—you’re buying the possibility of receiving them. Until the seller follows through, you have nothing. Even theater staff told us this kind of situation with StubHub happens often. StubHub favors the seller, not the buyer. Don’t trust that a confirmed order means guaranteed tickets. So again—buyer beware.
