Submitted claim for faulty boots, as heel area on sole worn through to holes after 6 months of light use. Within a couple of hours I had received a reply confirming that Timberlands 'warranty experts!!!!!' had deemed the premature excessive wear to be down to wear and tear and possible misuse and certainly NOT a issue with manufacturing or use of sub-standard materials. Contacted customer service again stating that I wanted to escalate my claim directly with the warranty team and also requested contact details for the 'Head of warranty uk' to which I got a reply stating that there decision was final and that was the end of the matter. No reply from customer service regarding the contact details i had requested. Absolutely shocking customer service. Best advice, would be to purchase a cheaper competing brand elsewhere for most likely a better price, with undoubtedly better customer service.
Timberland are undoubtedly manufacturing boots with substandard materials that are unfit for purpose. My previous pair of boots lasted 7 years until succumbing to the same issue of sole wearing through to holes, compared to 6 months this time.
Beware, Timberland may try to state that some materials now being incorporated into their footwear, have been manufactured from recyclable materials which may be slightly less hard wearing. My advice is to shop around, as there are some really good newer manufacturers beginning to release similar items.
