I ordered a gift early in the afternoon of Monday 29th December 2014. As it was for a special occasion on 3rd January I asked and paid for it be sent by express delivery. Initially I was impressed when I got an email within the hour to say it had been dispatched. Naturally from this email I expected it to be delivered the next day either by courier or Royal Mail's special delivery. I was a little surprised when it did not arrive on the Tuesday but not unduly worried. However when it did not arrive on the Wednesday I was getting very concerned. As I had not been given a tracking number I could not check its progress so I phoned the company only to get a recorded message that the office was closed.
It is now 5th January and still no parcel. The special occasion has come and gone. so I now have the inconvenience of returning the gift assuming it ever arrives.
