I thought it would be harmless to sign up for ace working holidays as it was just £1 to book my place. I probably should have known that it was a scam from the beginning since I first found the company from a pop-up ad on social media. After speaking with a friend who had dealt with the company before, it was clear that ace working holidays couldn't care less about their customers and so I decided not to pay the bigger instalments that were due in order to book my holiday fully. The company was completely out of my mind until I noticed £200 missing from my bank account a month later. They had taken the money for the next instalment without warning me or asking for permission, and when I reached out to a staff member, they told me that the payment was non-refundable—an absolute joke of a company with no morals.
