Extremely poor experience – damaged freezer, no refund or support
We ordered a commercial upright freezer from Adexa with paid next-day delivery. It arrived late and visibly damaged — the top corner was crushed. The driver dropped it off outside and left without allowing time for inspection.
We reported the damage immediately with photos. The freezer was never used or plugged in, and we gave Adexa every opportunity to resolve the issue. Despite this, they only offered a small store credit or a repair — which is completely unacceptable for a damaged, brand new item.
They then made unreasonable demands (like asking for video footage of the damage occurring) and eventually refused to assist us further. They also failed to refund the next-day delivery charge until we chased it ourselves.
We’ve now had to raise the issue with our bank and report the matter to Trading Standards, as the freezer was not of satisfactory quality or fit for purpose.
Their terms also attempt to classify all customers as “business users,” denying basic consumer protections — which we feel is misleading and unfair.
We cannot recommend Adexa to anyone based on this experience.
