Lee was my contact before the trip, and she was amazing. Answering all odd questions of a first timer africa traveller, plus giving tips and inside knowledge.
Regarding the trip it self ( cape town to vic falls) i knew that this was going to be special, but the level of "specialness" reached new levels with Nomad and OAT.
Our tour leaders Mandla and Artlyn... I have no words to describe their kindness, sympathy, organization and patience. They were the soul of the trip when we already had the magnificent landscapes.
The accommodations were highly above expectations ( for me they were even luxuorious, as i am a budget traveller).
I asked Mandla what is his favourite accommodation on this tour and he said i cant answer, but ask me again in the end and see if you can answer... Well i didnt ( in terms of confort all were outstanding, in terms of WTF - elephant sands takes the prize)
We saw heaps of animals - lions, zebras, anthilopes, mongoose, hyenas, wild dogs, crocs, hippos, elephants, girafes, bufalos, rhinos, and heaps of birds.
The breakfast at dune 45 is something i will never forget ( so simple, yet so amazing).
Overlanding is not vacationing, and the roads in Africa will elevate your level of "bumpiness" to estratosphere 😅 but its all part of the adventure.
In the end what can resume this trip is - "if you dont go you will never know"
Africa is so much more than you could ever imagine.
