My house insurance is with Ageas via my local council,I fell while changing curtains,my shoulder caught the side of the TV and it hit the sofa and the radiator, right side all smashed in and TV not working,so requested a claim,I have had 6 conversations with them in 2 weeks,always takes over 30 mins to answer,at first it was oh dear lets get this sorted for you,next call,we need some info from your council,next call all nearly sorted and have your bank details ready for payment,next call,well we really don't know and the person is not in and the system is down,next one the system was down and we need more info,was told someone would call me,NO call,then final call and woman wanted all the info again,even had to get the broken TV out of a big cupboard for the model number,which I had given them twice,then she said someone would call to pick the TV up and take it to a centre to see if it could be repaired,if not they would make a decision what to do next,the man from this place called shortly after and said it looked like it could be repaired,twice I told him my policy is new for old so no repair would happen,he said I should check my policy,told him no I don't need to its new for old,not made one claim and now wanting to try to repair it,its almost 5 yr old,will be speaking to the council broker on Monday,disgraceful service and over 3 and a half hours on the phone.
