Disappointing Experience with Agoda I recently faced a frustrating ordeal with Agoda over a simple booking modification request. My booking at XX Hotel through Agoda turned problematic when I attempted to change the reservation dates immediately after booking. Despite receiving clear approval from the hotel's Reservations Supervisor, Agoda and theirso called "booking partner" continuously claimed the hotel denied my request. This was directly contradicted by the hotel itself, which confirmed its willingness to accommodate the change. The root of the issue seemed to stem from a communication breakdown; Agoda admitted their booking partner, who does not speak English, was unable to directly communicate with the hotel, despite me providing all necessary contact details to bridge this gap. This lack of direct and effective communication led to misleading claims and unnecessary complications. My attempts to resolve this straightforward request met with repeated misinformation and obstacles, culminating in a significant inconvenience and a thoroughly unsatisfactory customer experience. The inability of Agoda to fulfill a simple service request, compounded by their inconsistent information and apparent disconnection from their own booking partner, has been disillusioning. Prospective customers should be wary of potential communication issues and misleading information when dealing with Agoda, based on my experience. A straightforward booking alteration became an unnecessarily complex and frustrating situation, leading me to question the reliability of Agoda's services and their commitment to customer care.
